KP architects involved in the design of a new Research & Development department space located at the facilities of one of the leading firms in the production and commerce of cosmetic products in Greece.

Main focus of the project was the design of a new office space and lab, according to international ISO standards, in a contemporary environment, which reflects the growing and dynamic profile of the company.

The new department with a total area of 600sq.m., developed in one level, includes the reception area with a showroom, offices, meeting room, lab, archive and utility spaces.

The partition walls between the offices, which are located in both sides of the main corridor, consist of fully glazed panels, in order to provide maximum lighting and transparency to the space and solid panels to provide visual isolation, where necessary. These walls are highlighted by a continuous line of light that runs along them.

The differentation between workspaces and corridors is achieved by using different colour tones for the floor finish.

Finally, the lab space which has been designed according to the European standards for clean rooms, is surrounded by wide glazed openings in order to eliminate the border of the space and provide maximum clarity and immediacy of the lab to the main corridor.
